Yeunwoo Park (23)

Korean violist Yeunwoo Park began her musical career as a violinist. She received her first violin lessons at the age of seven at Yewon Arts Middle School. In 2018, she was accepted into Seoul Music High School, but soon dropped out to move to Germany.

On the recommendation of her teacher, she switched to the viola, an instrument that increasingly fascinated her. In the winter semester of 2019/20, Yeunwoo Park began her bachelor's degree at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin with Professor Tabea Zimmermann. From the summer semester of 2023, she continued her studies with Professor Walter Küssner. In 2023, she was awarded a 1749 viola by Paolo Antonio Testore by the German Music Foundation (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben) as part of an instrument competition.

Starting August 16, 2024, she will be an academician at the Orchestra Academy of the Konzerthaus Berlin. In the winter semester of 2024/25, she will begin her master's degree with Professor Walter Küssner.
