All exhibitions can be viewed in the university's fireplace room ("Kaminzimmer").
Ludwig Hampe and Dr. Alexander Krause will open the two exhibitions "Walter Witte, lawyer - artist - founder" and "Paul Hindemith and the viola" there on
Friday, October 15th at 5:00 p.m.

PRESALE AND HYGIENE REGULATIONS

Tickets for the events (admission tickets free of charge or at a price of EUR 10, discounted EUR 7) are available from October 11th, 2021 via Munich Ticket.

Tickets to the competition rounds also entitle the holder to admission to the exhibitions.

Please note: The so-called '3G rule' (geimpft, genesen, getestet – vaccinated, recovered, tested) also applies to all event visitors at the university, as well as the obligation to wear a mask (medical mask), including at the seat.

Exhibition

Paul Hindemith and the viola


Generously made available by the Hindemith Institute Frankfurt as part of the competition, this exhibition will take a closer look at Paul Hindemith the violist. In addition, Dr. Schaal-Gotthardt will give a lecture on Hindemith on October 18th at 7:30 p.m. in the large concert hall as part of the discussion “Hindemith - Edmund von Borck - Composing in the Third Reich”.

Not only Paul Hindemith, the composer and musician, painter and draftsman – but also the lawyer Walter Witte, founder and initiator of the previous competitions, was successfully active in various genres and bequeathed us his extensive graphic work. His sculptures and poems will also be on view in the exhibition during the competition.
